  • 18 MONTHS OF SUCCESS:
Carl Hild, 50, of Redding expanded Hild Collision Center to Anderson rather than develop a larger facility there. So far, he is happy with the community and the potential for growth of his auto, RV and truck repair business in the South County.
  • TESTING TEMPERAMENT:
Capt. Lee Anne Smith, Redding Animal Regulation, holds a doll to see how dogs might respond to real babies. The process will help determine if a dog should be adopted to a family with infants and small toddlers.
  • NOT JUST JUSTIN:
Senior Justin Daniels has grown up with a love for agriculture. he is preparing to attend Modesto Junior College to study beef nutrition and agriculture business. Raising steer to show for Future Farmers of America has become a family tradition.
  • MAKING THE FIRST MOVE:
An Anderson wrestler and West Valley face off against each other in the first round of their match. While both grapplers gave it their all and tried to pin each other to the mat, Anderson would win with the pin. After several close matches, the Cubs would win 36-29 at home.
  • PLAYING KICK BALL:
A West Valley girls soccer player kicks the ball into the air in order to pass it up the field to awaiting players. The Lady Eagles beat Lassen 2-0, scoring one goal in each half of the game.
