  • Ken Hartman, Cottonwood: 'It is fine but with monitored boundaries. The kids need rest breaks, water and shade.'
  • Pam Lewis, Redding: 'It would be ok, if practices were well supervised with plenty of water. Kids live and play in the heat all day long. It is up to the coaches and adults in charge to be responsible.'
  • Ed Earhart, Cottonwood: 'I think they should be practicing early in the morning or evenings when it is cooler.'
  • Debbie Earhart, Cottonwood: 'I don't think it is good at all. It isn't worth risking a kids life. They could arrange practice for a time when it is cooler out.'
  • Karen Bowen, Cottonwood: 'I feel that they should monitor the athletes closely. My son was playing football one year and was getting sick from the heat. They need to change practice times or keep an eye on the kids.'
