  • SAFETY FIRST -- To prevent bites or infection from air-borne diseases, Shasta Mosquito and Vector Control District personnel take many precautions including wearing these space-like suits when doing research on rodent-borne diseases and vectors.

  • RAM MOUNT — Taxidermist Eric Gould describes how he forms and positions the urethane body before adding the hide to a trophy at Artistic Wildlife Creations. Gould reopened the business with fellow taxidermist Bill Meyer after spending a year in Reno. Gould was able to reopen his business in the same spot he was located in before for six years at 18531 Lloyd Lane, Suite D.
  • Nathaniel Ireland-Rochon of Cottonwood wins major award from San Francisco Junior Giants program.
  • PURIFICATION -- Yoghurt and milk purify the Sikh flagpole, which each year receives a new cloth cover.
  • SKY HIGH -- Fire Capt. Darrell Brown and Fire Fighter Joel Goldman, both of the Anderson Fire Protection District, work their way around the community Christmas tree to string more than 700 feet of new LED lighting.
