UP ON THE ROOF -- Law enforcement officers apparently prefer to wait out a man who ran away after attempting to run over several Anderson Police Officers while the man was riding an ATV in Anderson River Park on Wednesday morning. The man was eventually taken into custody.

The athletic young man, however, stood on the ladder and swung himself onto the roof.

A man ran away from Anderson Police Officers after allegedly attempting to run over at least two officers while riding an ATV in Anderson River Park Wednesday, Sept. 1.
The man briefly hid in the attic crawl space of a Rupert Lane house until a K-9 flushed him out and onto the roof of the single-story ranch-style home. Authorities had the house surrounded, however, and waited until the man decided to come down.
