This time, the Fire Board has created a mess that will NOT go away. They keep trying to put little fixes on a wound that just keeps getting bigger and bigger. You know, people, when you are already in a deep hole, why keep digging yourselves deeper?

I cannot believe how these people think they can run Anderson to suit themselves and be so sanctimonious about it. It has caught up with all of them. Everyone knows that it all starts with one little lie and then another one to cover that and so forth until the liar cannot remember what he/she has told, nor do they any longer recognize the difference between the truth and a lie. That is where the three on the Fire Board are living.

It does catch up with the perpetrator after a while.

Believe me when I say that this unrest with the unholy trinity is growing daily. Residents all over Anderson are sick and tired and just want them out of the council so we can put in council persons who will be fair and equitable.

The voters have your number and are ready to vote you out, Comnick, Schaeffer & Webster.

I agree with ForAnderson. How many firefighters could have been paid with the excess amount of money spent for this whole investigation? AFD apparently has plenty of funds for such nonsense.

The whole thing is ridiculous. It is something the fire board should have tried to handle first. That is their job. Instead, they have bungled this from the very beginning. Anderson residents are sick of their good ol' boy politics.

It still seems strange to me that after several great reviews, suddenly, the Chief received one with so many apparent criticisms.

Every trail leads back to the unholy trinity. They had no idea this would come back to bite them, but it has, big time.

LuvAnderson, you are also right, this is all about Comnick's personal vendetta against Chief. I am just sorry the firefighters got pulled into it. We will not soon forget the "dessert & a $215.00" bribe Comnick tried at the end of their mandatory "you will stand with us" meeting.

It is a sad turn of events. Any "issues" should have been dealt with by the fire board-that is why they are the board, right? No wonder Anderson residents voted overwhelmingly to elect a fire board.

Too many innocent people have been hurt, all because of Comnick's agenda to oust Chief.

How can this fire board possibly have any reason to meet tomorrow night? They do not have a legal report. Are they just so full of themselves, and so used to breaking the law, that they think they can go ahead, use this report and get by with it? Where is the lawyer in all of this? Does he not see the illegality of it all? Is he also too afraid to cross Comnick?

Can they not see that they are simply opening themselves up to even more lawsuits? My gosh, folks,talk about thumbing their noses at Anderson citizens. Here we have a classic example in the unholy trinity of, "Yes, as a matter of fact, we am smarter and more important than all of you. Yes, we are in charge of how things are done in Anderson, and we will continue to perform our illegal acts as long as we get away with it."

Who do they think they are kidding? Anderson citizens see through them now. Two more people who live in the fire district came to me today and asked,"When are you Anderson residents going to have enough of Comnick's antics and recall her?" WOW!! This unholy trinity is flagrant in their misuse of the law. They quite simply no longer care whether the things they do are legal. They just must have their way no matter what. They must be in charge of the rest of us 'little people.'

Is there anyone on that fire board who seriously has Anderson at heart? I hear that "the queen (Comnick) is not amused these days." I hear that she will not return calls from the newspaper (not available for comment) or answer her door for fear that someone will ask her something she cannot answer.

Maybe if we all camp out on the sidewalk in front of her house, she will treat us to dessert, too. You think? Oh, I forgot, her bribes are only for the firefighters, who are being coerced by Fincher and Nichols to back the board or lose their jobs. Funny, I must have gone to sleep in America and woke up in Russia. Comnick and her Gestapo are still trying to prove that they are in charge.

Put this down on your little agendas, unholy trinity: we are sick and tired of your antics. Your political careers are through in Anderson. You might as well give it up and go home. Your days running this town are numbered. Enjoy your assumed 'power' while you can. The sleeping giant is arising and you three are not David, nor do you even know how to wield a slingshot. We, on the other hand, do!!

Do these people even know the laws that bind them to proper codes and ethics? Evidently not, if one looks at their track records. They do have a staff lawyer,correct? Are they just choosing not to follow his advice?

Geez-you would think they would try to get it right, especially now when they are in the spotlight-or is that HOTlight?

Sounds like the unholy trinity is singing, "All shook up," and, "Blue ain't the word for the way that I feel. There's a storm brewin' in this heart (and community) of mine..."

It has now been 6 weeks (yes, read my lips, 6 weeks of putting our fine fire Chief and his family through hell) since they began the premeditated mess with Chief, correct? You know, the meeting they went into with their minds already made up (Brown Act violation) to investigate the Chief and place him on administrative leave because Comnick was 'pithed' that Chief refused to give her friend Tom Brown a 'sign off' on the sprinkler system he did not want to pay for in his new building. That is only one thing on her long list.

But, oh, gosh, they forgot to check to see if Purcell (they already had him waiting in the wings) was actually a legally licensed investigator in the state of California. OOPS!!

Comnick's sidekicks were so brainwashed by her 'get the Chief out of here' idea that they forgot to 'ask the city council' for the use of a car, office, secretary, ride to and from the airport in the APD limo, etc. OOPS!!

They forgot to take into account the cost of 'last minute airfare'-if, indeed it was last minute, or did they already have those tickets purchased way ahead of time? (There is a way to check on that, you know) Add to that the cost of the Gaia Hotel, meals, 6 weeks of 'investigative'(I use the term loosely)costs....interesting. OOPS!!

Thinking they could quietly get rid of Chief, they were in for quite a shock when Concerned Citizens (a daily growing group as more and more people come and say 'count me in') began their own investigation, involving a recall and Grand Jury Investigation. OOPS!!

Darn those citizens for thinking for themselves that it is way past time to stop Comnick in her tracks. Darn them for finding out that Comnick tried to bribe the firefighters with dessert and campaign monies! OOPS!!

"We welcome a Grand Jury Investigation" stated Webster. OOPS!! Concerned Citizens thought of it first!! Neiner-neiner

Perhaps, just perhaps, this fire board is rethinking their position because how can they possibly have grounds to come against Chief with a flawed, illegal investigative report in their hot little hands. OOPS!!

Civil lawsuits by the dozens are bound to be in the wings, waiting to happen, should this fire board not back off from this whole orchestrated, embarrassing mess. I hope each of them has good insurance. OOPS!!

Has Comnick finally had to learn to pedal her tricycle backwards instead of riding it over good honest people she takes a dislike to for whatever reason?

You are so right, shortandcute. This fire board (aka mainly city council persons) is in a mess of their own making. How on earth will they handle the fact that their 'hired gun' was hired illegally, had no license to work in California,was given so much leeway by the city of Anderson(Ask Yarbrough and Hunt if they knew anything about this before it happened-I bet they did not). Should not such an item have been brought before the city council? Anyway, that makes any report from this investigation bogus since it was all done illegally.

What were they (unholy trinity) thinking? That is just it-they weren't thinking. They only wanted to continue to appease Comnick so she would not turn on them as she has on so many others in this community. THAT line of people would probably reach to Red Bluff and back.

Her time is over. She has gone too far this time. Obviously she no longer considers herself accountable to the law or to the Anderson voter. She just thought she could reign here forever. Newsflash-she is going out. Recall is definitely in her future, as well as the other two in the unholy trinity unless they suddenly "see the light" and decide not to let her have her way.

Dirty politics has torn a hole in the fabric of Anderson, as she states above. Getting rid of the dirty politicians is the first step in repairing that hole.

Chief Piccinini's rights have been trampled over and over. This fire board seems not to care. It is scary to think of the lawsuits facing them if they do not handle the rest of this whole mess very carefully.

I bought my army boots and just for good measure,a gas mask. I also bought a huge pooper scooper to use behind the unholy trinity.

We will need a dump truck to follow as well, since I am sure with all the scooping that is needed, it will make several trips to the dump.

I do not know if this is true, but it fits this situation. Anderson citizens have had enough. We are squeezing the life out of the "good ol' boy" system. It will soon be dead. Hopefully those people involved in 'crooked political practices' will wise up and change their ways before they lose out entirely.

Too many Anderson Citizens have overheard too many of the conversations of these 4 about this whole mess--even a secret meeting in Red Bluff? Wow!! Double wow!! Talk about your premeditated game plan to rid the Fire District of Chief simply because he refused to sign off on "no sprinklers" for Comnick's friend, Mr. Brown. I heard through the grapevine that there was also a certain Kenworth building that Scott Morgan wanted passed without proper water flow--"I promise we will do it later." Of course, Chief refused. How could he in good conscience allow the law to be bent when lives could be a stake? That is just plain dumb. Here's your sign!!!!!

They need straws to breath these days cause it is geeting deeper all the time. Pretty soon they will be out of air space. The suffocation of illegal politics in our community is a good thing. Well, well, well!! Finally Comnick is caught in the act of offering a BRIBE!! Or is that TWO BRIBES? Dessert and $215.00. I hope this ends up on the front page of the Record Searchlight and on every TV & radio station in our county. At last perhaps everyone will see the real Comnick and how she works--and has worked for years. She cannot cover this one up. I bet her old friend and mentor, Trish Clark, will distance herself from Comnick on this one.

Schaeffer and Webster and the rest of that Fire Board had best distance themselves from her as well. They should let her try to "handle this one" on her own this time. If those two, part of the unholy trinity, cannot find it in their hearts to drop her like the liability she has become to them, they are not as smart as I thought. They would be smart to let her fly solo on this whole mess. Voters are awake, listening and watching. They will remember in November, believe me. They will also be watching the Webster investigation as well. The "good ol' boy" political system is on its' knees and gasping for breath in Anderson and I say "Hallelujah" to that.

Gentlemen, and I speak loosely to both of you, stand up for right. How can it be right to keep putting a decent man and his family through such turmoil? Surely if you feel he needs discipline, be fair and just with it and then put him back to work in his rightful place. Allow Comnick to hang herself--and this time she already has the noose around her neck. This time she placed it there herself so she has no one else to blame.

Howard Fincher is, of course, denying all of this. He must, because he may still have a slim glimmer of becoming the fire chief as Comnick promised.....yeah right. If that is so, I have some beach front property in MONTANA, that I will sell you--oops, forgot, Purcell already owns it.

Schaefer was (and is) blowing smoke, trying to get the magnifying glass off of himself,simply because he is caught in the web of a certain councilwoman,and has been for years. If he ever stood against her, it would be miraculous. But then, why would a Mama's boy rock the boat? Well, his boat is rocking and he is about to be capsized, along with the other two in this "unholy trinity". They are angry that anyone would dare stand against their crooked politics and it is showing in their behavior. If the investigation was fair, we could be assured of a fair outcome. HOWEVER, since it was orchestrated by Tweedledee(Norma)& Tweedledum(Norma & whoever she got to do her dirty work), there will not be a fair outcome. Strange, isn't it, that Norma went with those to pick up a fire truck out of state and asked them to "detour" through Montana to see Purcell. Of course, this was all on taxpayer's money. Strange, isn't it that if you or I do such things it is unlawful, yet if SHE does them it is OK. I agree with MarriedtoaCUB-life is not always fair, especially when there are dirty politicians like the "unholy trinity." I would think HeardEnough should stop and realize that all of us have HADENOUGH of this kind of government. This whole community will be astounded at what is found out about these three by the Grand Jury. They are finished in Anderson.

In Anderson, one hears things in the strangest places. Overheard tonight-Purcell will be here another week. Tally THAT cost so far. Will it be a matter of public record? Does he have a secretary? Why else would she have remained in office this long? It is common knowledge that her question asking Sammis about his sexual identity got him a healthy retirement, thanks to the city's insurance. I wonder what she has cost the city during her reign of terror?

Great question, Red Stilettos. If Purcell is not legally licensed in our state, must Mr. Fitzpatrick see that this whole trumped up, costly, fiasco of an investigation be thrown out? As to your earlier statement about the firefighters being intimidated, it stands to reason. Does anyone know just how many there are in the district as opposed to how many stood up at the meeting? I saw Stan Morgan on the news last night. Evidently he is a former Anderson City Councilman who no longer serves because he could not take the pranks of the "unholy trinity". He made a profound statement, "How can three city council persons elect and re-elect themselves to the Fire Board for so many years? It is a conflict of interest." I agree whole heartedly. Those three should recuse themselves from this whole investigation, put the Chief back to work, put that investigative file in the safe and leave it for a LEGALLY ELECTED board to deal with when they take office after the elections in November. Those three people are "ALL SHOOK UP" as evidenced by Schaefer's behavior last night and are currently residing in 'HEARTBREAK HOTEL" cause they know they have stepped in it this time-up to their necks. How can this man (Schaefer) call himself the mayor of our city and behave the way he did to an Anderson Citizen for standing up for what she believes in? Isn't this a free country? Oh, I forgot, we dare not go against the "unholy trinity." He (Schaefer) owes this debe hopkins a public apology, as well as the owner of that Handi Spot Market. He just proved he is biased against women and minorities. Had that big man been standing over me, spitting in my face, I would have felt intimidated-at least until I realized that like the cowardly lion he is, he has no courage against someone his own size. Do I understand correctly that this man also is a marshall and actually carries a gun? Scary, or maybe not since he had to have his mommy come and stand up for him. But, thinking again, it is scary. Is this the type of anger that results in random acts of violence? The City Council should reprimand him and remove him from his post for a while because of his behavior in this incident. This trio (Schaefer, Webster & Comnick) had best take a long walk off of a short pier while they can. Voters are angry, voters hold their futures in the palms of their hands. Keep standing up, Anderson. Change is here, and it never looked better. We might actually see fair government in the city of Anderson and in the Anderson Fire District. One more thing, I agree with Anderson Mom...where were the rest of those firefighters during last night's meeting? I betcha those who want the chief's job are controlling every little thing that happens in that fire hall, especially the no working out, eating part.
