Anderson voters remember you will have a chance to vote Webster out of office this election. How do you not remember that you were paid thousands of dollars, no one is that stupid about their income. It is time to remove these politicians who's agenda is feathering their own nest at the expense of the voters. Webster knew he was voting on items that would benefit a corporation he was an officer of, and he should have excused himself from those votes. In fact maybe he should just resign. Anderson voters, you will have other choices on the ballet in November, exercise you voters rights and institute change.

Well stated 1gr8medic, I live in Anderson and will be voting for change this November. One thing I know for sure is that Mr. Webster has been a politician long enough to know what a conflict of interest is when it comes time to vote on something that affects his own income, forgot to report it give me a break. $200.00 fine compared to thousands in income, crime does pay.

I wonder if the results from the "victims" last DUI were also fixed!!

So what are you suggesting JOEBLOW? an
ongoing business relationship existing
between Benson and the victim?

so every time she'd go drinking then
driving Benson would appear and demand
his due? got it.

"In the last few weeks, the Anderson Police Department has suffered a "black eye," as noted in this newspaper, with the allegations that Police Office Bryan Benson assaulted a suspect in custody, as well as the allegations that Police Officer Mat Goodwin failed to report his knowledge of the event in a timely manner."

Looks like more of a Broken Nose to me, but
close enough, I suppose.

"The City of Anderson, Redding Police Department and Shasta County District Attorney's office have been as transparent and forthcoming with this investigation as they can be while still protecting the rights of the victim and Officers involved. The City of Anderson has been fully cooperative with all investigations."

well, I'm sorry and I can appreciate the

With Chief Webb still on the job, even I have

I have the video record and would be glad to show it to any concerned citizen group, community, or church. Free of Charge. You will see many smiling and complacent LE faces in the crowd, including Chief Webb and others.

Written on New allegation against APD's Benson complains of use of force:

in response to mustangsally:

I hear a lot of mention re a Civilian Review Board... Is there a group willing to take the bull by the horns? My understanding is research and organization, from A to Z is located at the afore mentioned site.

Question: Why is this article absent from the Record Searchlight?

Actually the ACLU and their existing leadership has much experience and knowledge of such an earlier attempt as did the entire Shasta County LE community present at the bid for a certain Sheriff's appointment several years ago when Besenko and 4 others threw their hat into the ring for an appointment to the office by the board of Supervisors..

Anderson's little pancake flipper Trish herself, told me personally, she did not think it was needed. So in a way, you can thank her. Our Sheriff now, knew of it and took no action, so in a way, I guess we also have him to thank. Larry S. Assistant at the time, did not think it was needed and I guess pretty much the entire board at the time, including Kehoe did not think it was needed.

The interesting thing to me was, that 500 concerned enough citizens had already signed and submitted a petition asking the Shasta County Board to consider it.

My guess is..they never actually did. Or I'm sure there would be a record of such a meeting.

Maybe it will take 5,000 signatures this time..and the spreading of these NOW 4 stories all over the entire West Coast, Nation and World, along with the Adam Martinez and others.

I'm game..if that's what it's going to take to get JUST-US turned into JUSTICE for the citizens of Shasta County. I say, it's on!

that and a live internet camera in every LE vehicle..they said your invited to ride along, I think every citizen with a computer "riding along" is a great start.

Like I asked the board and the LE community that day, 'IF THESE THINGS ARE NOT NEEDED...what do say is needed?"

Now, a poor women has been traumatized, raped and subjected to one horrible event by this officer sworn to protect her and us. This officer is a coward and how likes to beat and sexually assault women.

And some others are too, and maybe worse..for their continued complicity to it.

Next...that's enough for now.

Written on New allegation against APD's Benson complains of use of force:

said the woman's complaint was not a criminal allegation."

I think when your slammed so violently into a car door jamb that the entire side of your face swells up, and repeatedly thrown head first into a back seat while handcuffed, while your little 10 year old, left alone at 11 pm on a Anderson street is hysterical...and you have 5 pictures that clearly show the abuse, and you reported it at the time of the arrest and it was noted by another completely different agency that you did, I SAY IT"S CRIMINAL assault against another women, His M.O.

You don't hear a report of a crime...or you don't want to hear a report of another crime?

Written on New allegation against APD's Benson complains of use of force:

"We can't stop the flood gates once they're open," Kirvin said, referring to the growing series of allegations.

And why would you want too?

Here's a fourth little bit of flood truth...

A tiny, petite young girl and her boyfriend are walking home late at night after a night at one of Anderson's local pubs. Walking, not driving.

Officer Benson, always on the job, and hunting for sweet, young things, decides to stop and, what's the term, "Shake down" the two once Anderson citizens.

"Well Ma'am, as he swallows that last little bite of maple bar, and looks over her tight little package, "I guess I'm going to have to arrest you honey for being drunk in public."

Boyfriend, even with a few, feels there is something just not right about this officer and says, "Hey, officer, what about me, I'm just as drunk as she is, maybe more, if your taken her, you Have to take me too."

Damn, so he spoils all the fun, and Benson takes them both.

My guess and I think his and hers, from what I've heard from her, is thanks to her fast thinking boyfriend she did not have to suffer what might have been a similar fate as the first girl found with officer Benson's dna all over her and the outside of his car.

Remember: ONLY JUST-US IS BLIND
JUSTICE on the other hand is as bright as a summer day.

This officer, I'm really sorry, to say, is scum. Fire him now and put him where he belongs as soon as possible.
