Dale was a great member of Anderson PD and a good chief who was terrorized by the APO and its idiot members, as well as councilman Day. I hope he goes thru with his lawsuit. Our short-term "city manager" Dana was certainly not a supporter. We are glad she is history.
Unfortunately the district fair organization does not know how to market. You don't market by constantly raising your rates and letting your facilities decline, like the kitchen in Fusaro. The races have no fans or cars.Musical events in the grandstands in the Summer on Saturdays? Would anyone other than a few diehard race fans want to look into the super hot summer sun? The fair has tried to get sponsors for years. Actually, there is nothing for the sponsors there. And they refuse to pay anyone to get sponsorships. They don't realize that some money is better than no money.
The Valley Post and Searchlight are but a sliver of what they used to be, and have abandoned good journlism to be sleazy sheets.
We have a city council and fire board that are very well grounded in economic reality. At least, their union negotiations will be swift this year. No raises...just hopefully hold on to your job.
The firemen like both, but Andy is their choice. Why do Schaefer and Kelley prolong this? Can't they make a decision?
Great job, fire board. With this, we can get an additional two fire firefighters which we desperately need.
Reason number 805 why getting rid of that Shady Joe as Chief is helping Anderson residents. By the way, why is the newspaper not reporting on all the filings for fire boards, school boards, ACID and special districts? Poor reporting.
We have great candidates for fire board: Matheson, Weekley, Bosetti, Kelley and Hubert.
On the other side are candidates from the Dark Side of the corrupt era.
As usual...80 per cent members from Redding. Few join from Anderson.
Let's all try to make it to the fire department one to show majority solidarity with the firemen who defend our town...against fires...and against hateful people.too bad this event gets so limited publicity...and the attendance shows it. Get it out on the radio and tv stations.
Too bad. the community and the firemen wanted this. Of course, the local newspaper, Mr. Dawson, doesn't care about them.
Maybe we should just have another meeting whereby Ms. Hopkins could flip everyone off, not just Mr. Schaefer. Sure strange how the newspaper cuts off comment from the community and firemen on this site. Freedom of speech and press only for a few, huh, Mr. Dawson?
I do think they should ask input from the personnel, and they really appreciate it. The choice of the last chief was obviously a huge mistake...although we find out now how he manipulated the referral sources in Okiehoma to get the job. His deception started VERY early.
You'd think the newspaper had bigger fish to fry than to question the board's aciton. Put your money into saving your declining newspaper!
If the newspaper would do any real reporting, they would find that some corporation is behind all the new dope houses opening up, I fact, they have a realtor in Redding looking for more locations. Oh well, so much for reporting.
The city manager ALSO said we will finally end the $20,000 taxpayer subsidy to the Anderson Chamber of Commerce, most of whose members are from Redding. Only chamber in NorCal with a taxpayer handout.Dang, there goes that political front group.
This is very cheap. The firefighters were ready to file some very costly lawsuits against the fire district for failing to reign in this jerk ex-chief. The board should have acted last winter, but at least they finally sprang into action for the most thorough investigation possible.
We hope the Searchlight is successful in getting that report released to the public. Alot of rats will be scurrying for cover when that happens.
The conspiracy of the local hate group is incredible!
And what about the local newspaper? It was pretty common knowledge that the chief was doing some pretty bad things, but the newspaper chose to cover it up...instead waiting to snipe at the people who wanted to clean up this mess. Shame on you, Mr. Dawson, for letting this happen.
By the way, ,what was the last newspaper job this editor had, anyway? (Shudder to think)
when the Grand Jury gets involved, this is all going to come out, including the names and emails of all the hate group trying to run down our city and fire department. And if the Searchlight is sucessful in opening the comphrensive report done by Purcell, then "Katie Bar the Door." Lots of rats will be running for cover!
Even the newspaper editor's involvement will be revealed.
This is another non-news story by the biased newspaper, which was part of that hate group. Grasping at any straws is this hate group. Two people get together and call themselves a "citizens group" and the biased mainstream media pounce on it. A whole fire department is ready to resign because that jerk ex-chief, and Mr. Winship gleefully ignores them!
Let's get the Red Bluff Daily news up here to give some accurate reporting.
Scotty, good luck, guy. You are bound for glory!
this is all phoney baloney. When and if the Searchlight's attempt to have the judge order the investigative report released is successfu, it will all be revealed. Alot of other people are going to fall into the mud along with the ex-chief, too. Then there's the Grand Jury report. Then there's the DA investigation. Then there's the individual lawsuit.
Run for cover, you hate-mongers.
John Sharrah is an absolute icon not only in Anderson, but also Shasta County
Hopkins had her ears pinned back on this one. But there is much more to come. The Grand Jury was asked by the board to investigate. Then the DA will investigate. What about Regency Palce and its role? The chamber? Will the chamber see its taxpayer subsidy disappear? I don't think you'll ever see a firefighter, his family or his friends and many other people ever use Lassen Realty again, either, because of its role in this hate campaign.Be careful what you wish for.....
This is it! Goodbye, Joey! No more wild parties. No more drinkin' in the fire vehicle. No more playin' on the office computer. No more paddin' the calls to your buddies at Regency Place.
Back to Okihoma!
The people of Anderson are satisfied now.
what a bunch of bull. a smokescreen. It's all over folks. he's plead guilty
If I was part of the hate campaign...the unChristian campaign...I would be worried right now. It's all going to come out. You can't disguise yourselves anymore. your businesses, your non-profits will be very affected. Get ready. Get on your blue swede shoes(the ones with the brown stuff on the soles)....
It's time to take the gloves off. The horrible, deplorable, vile actions of that small group of malcontents who supported the ousted fire chief must be called to task. They have become strangely silent, probably because of the incredible investigation done by Chief Purcell and the foot-high investigative report.Be careful of what you wish for, vile people. It's coming back. The board has turned the situation and itself over to the Grand Jury. So, much of this disgusting stuff about the former fire chief WILL come out.In addition, the actions of others in the community also will be revealed.
What about Regency place and its den of deceit? Lassen View Reality and its agents. The chamber? The newspaper?Phone baloney letters to the board manufactured by a small group. Hopkins?
We understand there may be a lawsuit filed in response to this group's horrible, unChristianlike tactics.
Stay tuned, folks!
